A Yes that wasn't really a Yes.

Without those, especially if one of you was or is "leading" the opening (almost always the case), one person's informed and fluent while the other is fumbling around without footing. This imbalance creates a wobbly foundation and often does a lot of unseen damage until it's right in your face because the whole thing is falling down. The Year Of Opening® closes the knowledge gap so that you can build this thing standing side by side. 

You can see there are benefits to starting before things fall apart. But if you've destroyed things already, you'll find comfort in knowing that The Year Of Opening® provides scaffolding for reimagining, creating, repairing, and rebuilding on solid ground.

Dr. Joli has been leading groups for decades- she's got you. We will build trust over time in a carefully designed way. Everything is talkaboutable in her world, but you get to ease in gently and share what feels right for you each time.

Together, we will create a community agreement that makes a solid space to share & learn about subjects most of us never talk about out loud.

Yes, your participation in The Year Of Opening® is confidential. The exception is if you give us your explicit permission to share any identifying information.

You can have your camera on or off, at any time. 

A note about recordings: 

We record every meeting to share within the Circle Membership area, with your private cohort, which means you can always go back and listen to a meeting. These private cohort recordings are retained audio-only in a private podcast format, only able to be accessed by your specific cohort members. Recordings of special topic meetings, which are optional to attend, are available to all YOO members, future members, and alumni. But, to respect anonymity, we never publish or share your image (we only share the audio). 

The people in the room are the people in your cohort plus Joli and Ken (Ken Hamilton is Joli’s anchor partner, and you can easily get to know him in the Playing With Fire podcast).

To solve this relational thing for myself, I got my doctorate in depth psychology, a certification in sexuality education, and became a researcher known for my work on the archetypal experience of jealousy. I've been featured on NPR, The New York Times, The Atlantic, Vogue, and more. I've been on the TEDx stage, and I'm a best-selling author.

You benefit from all of it.

But, to lead this with the confidence I have, now, has taken years of leading people through this work. I've seen just about all of it. Very little rattles me anymore.

As stated in the page you’re on, this is a thoughtfully structured curriculum built and refined over multiple cohorts of real human beings navigating real relational complexity. The methods draw from my doctoral work in depth psychology, ongoing research, and advanced certifications in sex education, mental health counseling, neuro somatics, and Existential Kink. And it’s not therapy. 

This is skills-based relational education grounded in psychological depth. That means finally being someone who can:

• Negotiate with clarity and care
• Create agreements that reflect reality rather than fantasy
• Repair ruptures without spiraling
• Differentiate while staying connected

The Year Of Opening® is a re-imagining of your relationships and what’s possible in them.

Here’s the overview of what you’ll get in The Year Of Opening®:
First, we set the foundation and create safety. Then, we get skills and practice everything from grief, repair, and agreements to connection and power, dating, hinge skills, coming out (or not), jealousy, shadow work, identity, and individuation. 

This is why this program is called The Year Of Opening® and not The Six Weeks Of Opening. 

We create the container and the structure for you to apply what you get out of the work to your actual life, and then navigate what shifts, changes, and arises as you do.
